I had the opportunity to present a selection of my work within the beautiful offices of BARNES Côte Basque, Place Bellevue —Biarritz, France.

Artist openings featuring Claudia Lederer (photographer): BARNES Biarritz, 2 Place Bellevue, on Thursday, July 19, 2017, in collaboration with Éditions du Côté, alongside works by Sophie de Sagazan (painter) and Blaise Guirao (sculptor). A second opening was held at BARNES Saint-Jean-de-Luz on Thursday, August 9, 2017.

“ It was the poetry of her photographic compositions, the balance of color, and her way of capturing light that drew Éditions du Côté to Claudia Lederer’s work. Based in Biarritz, Éditions du Côté is a design gallery and art publisher that brings together international artists and artisans from the Basque Country.

Their collaboration began in 2016, documenting the work of artists and craftspeople involved in the conception and fabrication of art objects for the Artzain collection, and continues today with the Ondulations cycle. Her ability to highlight a gesture in order to elevate craftsmanship, or to capture an intention that reinforces meaning, runs through all the projects she undertakes — whether commissioned or born from pure artistic expression.“
